Description   Ball Joints come with a set pre-load. Pre-load equals friction. Once you've pressed the ball joints in, the irregularity of the A-arm can create additional pre-load i.e. friction. A tolerance of 0.1mm will already create a noticable difference.. We've taken the racing technology of our drop joints which have adjustable preload to come out with an OEM Replacement Ball Joint with adjustable pre-load. Once pressed into the A-arm these ball joints can adjust the preload to get close to zero friction. This revolutionary ball joint design helps your shocks work better and follow the changes in surface easier. Racers work to take our un-spring weight(weight in the suspension) for just this reason. Less weight = less resistance to movement = easier to follow the changes in the surface = better and more consistent grip. Friction in the suspension is effectively more "weight" acting in both directions. All Ball Joints are sent out with the same Pre-Load setting of 0.5Nm. You can regulate the setting by just screwing the nut under the ball joint in or out. We have used low strength Loctite 52A22 on the locknut. Normally you wouldn't need to use any more loctite in this application, but if you do, always use a low strength thread lock to prevent the nut from getting damaged. Price for 1 ball joint
