Description   Stock oil pump gears in the Toyota 2ZZ engine are made from sintered metal and will shatter under the constant stress of high revs! This is not an uncommon failure, which WILL destroy the engine with it! Our oil pump gears are machined to the highest standards from EN24(European equivalent to SAE4340) alloy and are designed to stand up to the stresses of a track environment. On a co-ordinate tester and manually inspected afterwards. 2. We QC the rotor tip tolerances, clearance on 3 points of the casing and the end clearance. When the oil pump fails, this results in nearly immediate distruction of the rod bearings which means the engine must be removed from the car and completely rebuilt!
